Faith communities and the Ontario election: A workshop to help you get started

9 April 2018 @ 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm
St. Stephen's Evangelical Lutheran Church
248 Highland Rd E
Kitchener, ON N2M 3J1
$10 donation

The workshop is aimed at any faith leader who is interested in developing a specific plan of action for a congregation or community as the election approaches. Presentations and discussion will focus on three themes:

  1. The nuts-and-bolts of campaigns: How best to engage candidates and campaign influencers.
  2. Engaging the media: What is the best way to use all forms of media (including social media) to help you shine a spotlight on election issues concerning your faith community.
  3. Practical ideas for congregations/communities. How to develop a plan of action for the upcoming campaign.

To help facilitate the discussion, we have engaged individuals with significant experience in politics, campaigning and mobilizing faith groups, and we look forward to a productive evening.

There is no charge for the event but we are asking for a $10 donation to help cover the costs of the light supper that will be provided.

If you have not already, we would ask you to formally register for the event. Please register at Faith communities and the Ontario election: A workshop to help you get started – Event Registration Form

Please feel free to pass this on to other faith leaders who may find this of interest.

And please don’t hesitate to contact us at if you have any questions or require further information.

I hope to see you on April 9th.
