Want to regain lost skills?
Learn why we lost them in the first place?
Why it’s important that we get them back?

Come join the Re-skilling Learning Circle!

This summer the Working Centre is piloting our newest educational initiative: month-long learning circles exploring the ideas and practices of re-skilling.

Up until a century ago we knew how to do a lot of things ourselves because we had the skills. Now we are dependent on buying things that we need. Re-skilling is about relearning the skills we need to be independent and be able to do things ourselves. Our learning circles will explore reasons to re-skill and offer a community of support for those on the re-skilling journey.

Each circle will meet four times over the space of a month, for two hours at a time. We will host three cycles this summer – one per month in June, July, and August.

The dates for each re-skilling circle are:

  • First Circle: June 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th
  • Second Circle: July 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th
  • Final Circle: August 10th, 15th, 22nd, 29th
