Meet at Lamb’s Inn (1679 Blair Road, Cambridge)

Every year, rare takes on new ecological restoration initiatives in order to enhance and rehabilitate the unique native habitats of this urban land trust. Join us in pulling out a combination of non-native plant species such as Daylily and Autumn Olive to allow native plants to grow. Native plants are the foundation of natural ecosystems and do a better job of providing food and shelter for native wildlife.

Identification of invasive species training will be provided on site as well as instruction on proper removal techniques. This is a great opportunity for those looking to gain in field experience with ecological restoration and become more familiar with flora of southern Ontario.
